The SSE Riga main building is located in Riga’s renowned Art Nouveau district. The Art Nouveau style of architecture developed as a reaction against the imitation of historical styles which were considered remnants of the past at the end of the nineteenth century. It introduced a distinctively new artistic expression bearing unusual figurative decoration on the façade of buildings.

The SSE Riga shares its premises with RGSL, unifying the two elements- the school of economics and the school of law- into a uniform building.

The building is located near Old Town Riga, which is also the social center of the city, offering its visitors a wide range of restaurants, bars, clubs, and cafes.
